The EPC and commercial energy assessment market is now well established, initially there was a shortfall in the number of qualified assessors available in the property market, however, it appears that the decliining domestic market and the number of DEA's seeking jobs has stimulated interest in the Commercial EPC sector.
Increasingly, more Domestic Energy Assessors are turning to the commercial property sector and with additional CPD are entering the commercial assessment area for buildings both new and existing requiring assessors. Increasing competition is also driving down the price of the Commercial EPC, together with Display Energy Certificates (DEC) for public buildings.
EPC Training is on the increase, with the current jobs crisis, some individuals are seeking a career change in this emerging market. While the DEA Training sector is somewhat over-subscribed, the commercial property sector sees a significant rise in EPC Training for the New Year.
