Commercial EPC Buildings Energy Performance Certificates

The final phase for the introduction of Energy Performance Certificates for Commercial Buildings has been introduced on the 1st October 2008, however the UK Government has allowed an extension for the introduction to run until January 2009.

Whether you have a shop, retail premises or any other sort of business premises it will be necessary for you to obtain a Commercial EPC or Commercial Energy Performance Certificate if you offer for sale or lease a building after this time.

You will require to instruct a Commercial Energy Assessor for a survey of Commercial Energy Assessment where the building is in excess of 50sq m GIA. Commercial Energy Assessors are qualified to carry out energy assessment surveys of such property.

EPCC offer a nationwide service for a Commercial EPC.
